  • Roy Bavaro, Executive Director and Vice President

    Officer and Director

    In 2008, as Director of Corporate Marketing and Brand Development for DCH Auto Group, Roy Bavaro created and oversaw the launch of DCH’s initial Teen Safe Driving Program. He has worked extensively helping teens make smart and safe driving choices, and provides parents with the tools they needs to set the standards with their teenage drivers. Roy oversees the Foundation’s day-to-day operation, and develops strategies to further the mission and vision. He is the President of NOYS (National Organizations for Youth Safety), and a member of the NY, NJ and CA State Teen Safe Driving Coalitions. 

  • Shau-wai Lam, Chairman

    Officer

    While Chairman of DCH Auto Group, Shau-Wai Lam launched DCH’s involvement with teens and driving, focusing the company’s charitable giving and community involvement to this important cause, in line with DCH’s core values. Since launching the program Lam has overseen its evolution to the current National Foundation for Teen Safe Driving. He currently serves in many auto industry leadership positions including as a member of the Board of the National Automobile Dealers Charitable Foundation and a member of the Board of Lithia Auto Stores.

  • Susan Scarola, President

    Officer

    Formerly President and CEO of DCH Auto Group, Susan Scarola has been involved with National Foundation for Teen Safe Driving cause since the beginning. She oversaw the development of DCH’s partnership with SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions), which has served as a cornerstone of the program. She speaks regularly on the business necessity of community engagement through effective cause marketing campaigns and, in addition to serving on this Board, Scarola is also the Chairman of the Board of SADD.

  • George Liang, Executive Vice President

    Officer

    As Sr. Vice President of DCH Auto Group and Lithia Auto Stores, George Liang takes an active and personal interest in the company’s community involvement and focus on curbing distracted driving among teen drivers. Under his stewardship DCH dealerships continue to support over 30 SADD chapters and, as both a company executive and auto industry leader, he is uniquely positioned to advocate amongst his peers for broad support for teen safe driving initiatives. He is a member of the Boards of Directors of the NY State Auto Dealers Association and the NJ Coalition of Automobile Dealers in addition to his service on this Board

  • Pamela Clark, Secretary

    Officer and Director

    Pamela Clark has over 15 years’ experience as a Certified Health Education Specialist, Certified Substance Abuse Prevention specialist, grant writer and youth outreach organizer. She has worked extensively with DCH Auto Group and the National Foundation for Teen Safe Driving since its inception and has been the program liaison for the DCH Teen Safe Driving Program-sponsored SADD chapters in New Jersey. In this role, she assists students, adult advisors and school administrators develop, create and implement highly engaging programs that promote teen safe driving through education, awareness and advocacy. Pamela is a strong advocate for graduated driving licensing (GDL) as evidenced by the amount of time and energy she gives to the program, schools and students. The success of the SADD Chapters is a testament to her commitment, passion and leadership.

  • Mark Slosberg, Treasurer

    Officer

    Mark Slosberg served as DCH Auto Group’s Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 2010 – 2015 overseeing the Financial Accounting and Reporting, Treasury, Purchasing, Internal Audit and Risk Management departments. Previous to DCH, Mark was a partner at KPMG LLP, responsible for many recognized publicly traded and privately held companies in various industries including Retail, Consumer Products, and Distribution. His experience includes managing cross-functional teams on various projects including acquisitions and divestitures, fraud and accounting investigations, and debt and equity offerings. Mark is a CPA and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of CPA.

  • Kelly Browning, PhD

    Director

    Kelly Browning is the executive director for Impact Teen Drivers and the leader of the National Safety Council’s California Safe Driving Coalition. Dr. Browning has been in leadership positions promoting awareness and education through youth programs over the past 15 years. She received her formal education from Minnesota State University Moorhead, the University of Central Florida, and her Ph.D. in Criminology from the University of South Florida. Prior to coming aboard with Impact Teen Drivers, Dr. Browning founded an inner city charter school in Tampa, Florida where she served as the Executive Director for 4 ½ years. Dr. Browning joined the Impact Teen Drivers team as Executive Director in November 2008.

  • Erin Ramsey

    Director

    Erin Ramsey is currently Sales Director for Dealer.com based in Manhattan Beach, California. Prior to joining Dealer.com, Erin was the Business Development Manager for the DCH Auto Group Temecula campus. Erin is intimately aware of the impact community involvement can have on teens’ driver education. She led team members from DCH’s Temecula stores in working extensively with several local high school SADD chapters, providing support for their peer to peer outreach.

  • Allen Susser

    Director

    Allen Susser is a partner in Cohn Lifland Pearlman Herrmann & Knopf LLP, based in Saddle Brook. His practice focuses primarily on real estate and business transactions, as well as the representation of creditors’ in commercial and consumer loan debt collections and foreclosure. Mr. Susser also heads the Wills, Trusts and Estates practice at the firm. He is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University and Vermont Law School. Allen is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Passaic County Bar Association, of which he was a member of the Board of Trustees from 1984 to 1987. He was a member of the Board of Trustees, Passaic County Legal Aid Society from 1982 to 1987. Mr. Susser was a member of the Board of Directors of the Y.M. & Y.W.H.A. of North Jersey from 1985-1995.

  • Dana Rodriguez

    Director

    After spending over ten years on the floors of the retail automotive business as a Finance Manager, Business Development Manager and Sales Manager, Dana transitioned to the corporate world and became DCH Auto Group’s first ever Brand Experience Manager. Today Dana is the Variable Operations Trainer for the east coast, where she takes pride in training people, helping them to realize their potential, and take pride in sharing in their countless success stories as they unfold. Dana is a member of the National Association of Professional Women, and the Greater Monmouth Chamber of Commerce. Dana is passionate about the safety of our teens as they embark on the newly found freedom of driving.

  • Cheril Hendry

    Director

    Cheril Hendry is CEO and owner of Brandtailers, an advertising and marketing headquartered in Irvine, California. Over the years she has worked with clients of all sizes, using her company’s expertise in brandtailing, the combining of brand marketing with call-to-action messages for better ROI. Until her retirement in early 2015, Cheril also spent many weeknights as an Adjunct Professor at Chapman University, teaching a variety of undergraduate advertising courses. She is a seasoned speaker at industry events and has been seen on ABC News, KTLA Morning News and USA Today Online. Cheril holds a BA in Psychology and an MBA, both from California State University Long Beach. She is an active supporter of Skip1.org, a non-profit focused on sustainability for children in third world countries.

  • Karrie Carlson

    Director

    Karrie has invested over twenty years in the practice, training and instruction of the criminal justice field, spending 12 ½ years as a police officer in the San Diego Police Department. She currently teaches two Administration of Justice (AJ) classes at Murrieta Valley High School, and is certified under Leading Edge Certification as an online instructor. Karrie started the Murrieta Valley High School SADD chapter has been the advisor for the past three years. Karrie holds a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Administration from San Diego State University and a Masters in Juvenile Justice Management from the University of Nevada, Reno.
